Sunday Worship - "Grateful, Thankful & Blessed"

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Pastor Elvis Jackson encouraged us to embrace an attitude of being "Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed " through focus scriptures 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Psalm 30:1-4, Psalm 75:1-2, Psalm 106:1, and Psalm 107:1-2.

"O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness." Psalm 30:3-4. These scriptures remind us of the importance of God's mercy, power, grace, and love.

Many people do not show gratitude for God's grace and do not give Him thanks for His many blessings through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But when we reflect on the great stories of King David, Daniel the prophet, the story of Job and Paul and Silas praising God in prison, we remember that these individuals continued to give the Lord thanks during times of trouble. Gratefulness and thankfulness are as powerful as our praise and worship of God.  

Thank you, Pastor Jackson, for giving us this word from the Lord. This will allow us to go forward and higher together by encouraging us to remember that when we are grateful and thankful regardless of our situations, we are trusting in God's designed plan for our lives.
