Sunday Service - “Built To Belong”
In God's Kingdom, belonging is rooted in new birth rather than familiarity. In Part 1 of the “Built To Belong” series, titled “A New Family by New Birth,” Senior Pastor Travis Tullis focuses on Kingdom connection, building a culture on the WWL action steps “Because God Welcomes Me I will Welcome You, Because God Works with Me, I will Work with You, Because God Loves Me, I will Love You.” The primary scripture references include John 1:12-13, Matthew 12:50, and Ephesians 2:19.
Belonging to the family of faith comes through believing in Christ and doing the will of God—just as Jesus declares in Matthew 12:50, "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."
Intentional connections within God’s Kingdom foster shared faith, collaborative contributions that extend beyond financial support, and meaningful relationships grounded in Christ. As Ephesians 2:19 exhorts: “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.” This Kingdom connection enables believers to unite in a manner that extends beyond weekly church gatherings, fostering a profound bond that cultivates spiritual and relational growth.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, and for reminding us that we must become fruitful image bearers to fulfill God’s original plan by belonging in His Kingdom.
