Sunday Service - “Don’t Forget Where You Came From”

Nov 1, 2026  •  Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis

Through this powerful message, “Don’t Forget Where You Came From,” Senior Pastor Travis Tullis explains that remembering those who faithfully walked before us is not an invitation to live in the past, but a call to carry God's truth into the future.

Psalm 78:1–8 (KJV) teaches us the importance of passing God's Word from one generation to the next so that those coming behind us will place their hope in Him. Therefore, we must ask ourselves: What are we placing in their hands? Are we leaving an example that leads them closer to Christ?

This responsibility connects beautifully with Hebrews 11:1–40, which highlights faithful believers who trusted God's promises even without seeing their complete fulfillment. Their testimonies encourage us to persevere, but Hebrews 12:1–2 reminds us that Jesus, not those who came before us, is the author and finisher of our faith.

Because Christ must remain our focus, Matthew 12:30 challenges us to examine whether our words, attitudes, and actions gather others toward Him or scatter them away.

Ultimately, honoring faithful servants means continuing their example of obedience without placing them above Christ. We honor their legacy by faithfully following Jesus today.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for encouraging us to move forward and higher together as fruitful image bearers of God, faithfully walking in His light, freedom, and truth while preparing the next generation to follow Christ.
