Sunday Worship - "Preparing The Crown"

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:21.

Senior Pastor Travis Tullis provides the final message for our “Kings in the Making” series. He reminds everyone, but particularly the young men, that through our suffering, resilience, and overcoming in victory, God is “Preparing the Crown” for us. The focus scriptures are Revelation 3:21, 2 Timothy 2:2, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Romans 8:17, and Romans 8:36-37.

Romans 8:36-37 says, “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” According to God’s word, if we are His children, our suffering is not in vain. We will receive the crown of life by way of perseverance to endure hardships and, therefore, become overcomers. As we are called to overcome, we are also called to testify as to how it was made possible. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Timothy 2:2.
